It’s so important to start early and foster children’s excitement about the environment, science, and community work.
Working at my local garden, I saw firsthand how much thought and effort goes into creating spaces where kids can learn about bees, food systems, and the natural world. Though teachers and staff understood the value of this work, they often lacked the resources to fully bring those ideas to life.
That’s why I’m deeply passionate about raising funds to support sustainable school initiatives. Through the Illinois Green Schools Project, students, teachers, and administrators across the state are provided the tools and support they need to turn sustainability concepts into real-world learning.
Until our June 4 trivia night, I pledge to do weekly park clean ups or work in a community garden, and I'll show my progress! So please consider making a donation, big or small, to help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $500 for the Illinois Green Schools Project. Thank you so much for any amount you can give!
