As a building professional passionate about sustainability and education, I’m excited to be fundraising for the Illinois Green Schools Project — the program that first drew me to Illinois Green Alliance when I moved to Chicago in 2023.

Growing up, I saw firsthand how powerful it is when young people get to take initiative — whether it was getting my hands dirty with a rooftop garden or helping paint a community mural project, those small actions helped shape how I see the world and my role in it.

That’s what this program gives students: a chance to dream up real sustainability solutions for their schools — and the tools, funding, and mentorship to bring them to life.

About the Illinois Green Schools Project
The Illinois Green Schools Project is a year-long sustainability initiative designed for K-12 schools in Illinois. Donations help support school projects and enable Illinois Green to provide mini grants to partiicpating green schools.
